(RTTNews) – Dermata Therapeutics, Inc. (DRMA) announced financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, alongside a corporate update highlighting its transition into a commercial-stage skincare company.

The San Diego-based firm is preparing to launch its first direct-to-consumer product, Tome Foundational Treatment, on August 25, 2026.

Second quarter results showed a net loss of $2.97 million, or $0.74 per diluted share, widening from $1.70 million, or $1.66 per diluted share in Q2 2025.

Operating expenses rose to $3.0 million from $1.8 million a year earlier, driven by higher legal, marketing, and commercialization costs.

Cash and cash equivalents stood at $4.4 million at quarter-end. The company expects current cash resources to fund operations into the fourth quarter of 2026.

Dermata emphasized that the Tome Foundational Treatment, designed as a once-weekly skin renewal therapy, will mark its entry into the consumer skincare market. The company is also advancing development of a second product, a topical acne treatment, to follow the initial launch. Management stated that the direct-to-consumer platform will allow Dermata to build lasting consumer relationships, leverage data insights, and expand its portfolio efficiently.

This quarter underscores Dermata’s strategic shift from pharmaceutical development to consumer skincare, with the upcoming Tome launch expected to generate initial revenues and establish the company’s commercial presence.

DRMA has traded between $0.95 and $6.57 over the past year. The stock closed Tuesday’s trading at $1.08, down 3.57%. During the overnight trading, the stock is at $1.57, up 45.37%.
