For a limited time, you can get upwards of $1,000 in value toward future travel when you open a new Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card. The card has a boosted, two-part welcome bonus starting Sept. 8:

    • Receive a one-time $300 Capital One Travel Stays Credit

    • Earn 75,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000 within the first three months of account opening

The Capital One Venture is already one of our top travel credit cards for its simple 2x rewards on every purchase. With this welcome bonus, the Venture is even more valuable for new cardholders.

Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card overview

    • Annual fee

      $95

    • Welcome offer

Limited-time offer: Enjoy $300 to use on hotel and vacation rental bookings through Capital One Travel in your first cardholder year, plus earn 75,000 bonus miles once you spend $4,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening – that’s more than $1,000 in travel value

    • Purchase APR

      19.49% – 28.49% variable

    • Rewards rate

      • 5x miles on hotels, vacation rentals, and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel
      • 2x miles on all other purchases
    • Benefits

      • Receive up to a $120 statement credit for Global Entry or TSA Precheck® application fees
      • Receive a $50 experience credit, room upgrades, and early check-in at eligible hotels
      • Access Hertz’s Five Star membership tier, offering free upgrades, a wider selection of vehicles, and more

How to maximize the limited-time Capital One Venture bonus

You can redeem both parts of the Capital One Venture welcome bonus to save on travel — but exactly how you use each one may differ.

First, you’ll get a $300 Capital One Stays Travel credit with your new Venture card. You don’t have to spend anything to get this credit, and you can apply it toward eligible hotel and vacation rental bookings you make through Capital One Travel.

Capital One Travel includes a wide range of hotel options, as well as more than 500,000 vacation rentals around the world. For any amount you pay toward your stay over the $300, you’ll also earn 5x bonus miles.

The Venture card also gives you access to Lifestyle Collection hotels through Capital One Travel. If you book one of these eligible properties, you’ll get an additional $50 experience credit to use during your stay, as well as perks like early check-in and late checkout when available.

Let’s say you book a two-night stay at a Lifestyle Collection hotel for a total cost of $600. With the $300 credit, you’ll pay just $300 in cash (earning 1,500 bonus miles) and get $50 to spend during your stay.

On top of the credit, you’ll still have the chance to earn the Capital One Venture’s 75,000-mile welcome bonus after spending $4,000 within the first three months. Those miles are worth up to $750 when you use them to book a trip through Capital One Travel, redeem them toward a travel purchase, get a statement credit to your account, and more.

You can also transfer miles to a Capital One travel partner to potentially boost your value even more. Capital One has 15+ airline and hotel partners, including JetBlue TrueBlue, Emirates Skywards, Air Canada Aeroplan, Wyndham Rewards, and more.
